The Clinical Mental Health Master of Science in Counseling program offered at Carson-Newman University is nationally accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational 项目 (CACREP) and is approved to offer the Master of Science in Counseling in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, which prepares students to apply for professional licensure in the state of 田纳西州.

It is also imperative that students be cognizant of licensing requirements when they relocate to a state outside the state of 田纳西州 after beginning the program. Students should also discuss licensing requirements with their adviser before enrolling in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program or when relocating to a state outside of 田纳西州.
